I have added a set of sketches to the portfolio, which are mostly character-designs for a bigger project I have been working on while in Japan. The project I am working on is currently called Yomi No Kuni 「黄泉の国」lit. the underworld, or the land of the dead.

I habe dem Portfolio einige neue Skizzen hinzugefügt, größtenteils Charakterentwürfe für ein Projekt an dem ich in Japan seit einiger Zeit arbeite. Es trägt den Arbeitstitel Yomi No Kuni 「黄泉の国」übersetzt: „die Unterwelt“, oder „das Reich der Toten“.

Today the 26th Kyoto Art Festival will open its International Exhibition of Art and Design, where I am exhibiting a few new drawings of my upcoming research project.

3F Project Room is happy to present “Figures”, a 4 person exhibition featuring students from Kyoto University of Art and Design and Kyoto Seika University. The exhibition is centered on drawing, exploring 2D works in illustration and manga, from 22nd September till 2nd October, open from 1 pm till 7:30 pm, closed on Wednesdays.

3F Project Room freut sich “Figures”, eine 4 Personen Ausstellung von Studenten von der Kyoto Universität für Kunst und Design und der Kyoto Seika Universität zu präsentieren. Die Ausstellung zeigt unterschiedlichste Arbeiten aus dem Bereich 2D, von Illustration über Manga, hin zu Fotografie. Die Ausstellung läuft vom 22. September bis 02. Oktober, außer Mittwochs, täglich von 13 bis 19:30 geöffnet.

Ich bin vor einiger Zeit einigen “illustrativen” Netzwerken beigetreten, auf der Suche nach neuen Kontakten aus den Bereichen Illustration und Concept Art. Man kann mich jetzt also auch unter folgenden Adressen erreichen.

The educational children’s book I had been working on in 2010/2011 has been released last December. It took a while, but a copy of the book managed to even reach my mailbox in Japan. Here’s a couple of quick and dirty shots of the final product. Sorry for the lack of quality in the photographs!

「Entdeckerwege für Kinder」の絵本が昨年１２月にリリースされました。最近ようやく完成版が日本に届き、この絵本の写真を取りました。写真の品質があまりよくなくてすみません。

Das Kinderbuch “Entdeckerwege für Kinder” mit “Was ist Was” Charakter über die Stadt Kaufungen, bei Kassel, an dem ich in 2010/2011 gearbeitet habe ist im letzten Dezember veröffentlicht worden. Es hat ein Weilchen gedauert, aber ein Belegexemplar hat es auch in meinen Briefkasten in Japan geschafft. Hier sind ein paar Schnappschüsse vom fertigen Produkt, und ich möchte mich für die Photoqualität entschuldigen!
